Professional Membership

Membership in the British Columbia Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers Guild (BC Innkeepers) is in the name of the innkeeper(s), not the establishment the innkeeper operates. The membership fee is $95 per year. The membership year runs from October 1 to September 30. Any applicants who apply and are approved after June 1 each year will become members for the following membership year, and will therefore have an initial period of 16 months of membership benefits for the cost of 12 months.

If an inspection is required the fee is a non-refundable $125.

Marketing Options

BROCHURE
The Guild produces 65,000 first-class brochures in late winter/early spring, which are widely distributed. There is one advertising option in the brochure:

Photo Listing - this listing includes all contact and amenities information, description and photo - Cost: $150 per year

Members can also chose not to advertise in the brochure, or can chose to purchase a display ad by contacting the Brochure Committee.

WEBSITE
The web package includes a picture of your property, all contact, rate and amenities information, a link to your own website, 250 characters description and participation in online availability and reservations, if you have signed up with Webervations

The cost of the web package is $195 per year. HOWEVER, if members have the Guild logo on the main page or contact page of their website with a live link to the Guild website, a rebate of $100 will be issued after verification of this link. If members do not have the logo linking back to the Guild website they will have up to 30 days after approval of their membership application to add the logo and link in order to qualify for the rebate. Renewing members will have to re-confirm the live link when renewing their membership annually.
